Donald Trump is the only world leader capable of stopping Vladimir Putin from threatening Europe, according to Poland's President Karol Nawrocki.
In an interview with Radio 4's Today programme, Nawrocki asserted that the Russian leader is not to be trusted, urging that Europe needs to lend its full support to President Trump in his endeavors to bring an end to the war in Ukraine.
Nawrocki, a well-known supporter of Trump, emphasized that Trump's leadership is crucial in addressing the threats posed by Russia, especially in light of recent aggressive acts. He cited the alarming incursions of Russian drones into Polish airspace as evidence of the ongoing security crisis.
Expressing gratitude towards the UK for its military support through the deployment of RAF jets to assist in Poland’s defense, Nawrocki characterized Poland as being in a persistent state of hybrid war against Russia since 2021.
He criticized European leaders for focusing on less significant ideological issues instead of building security and resilience, contrasting it with Poland's commitment to defense, which is close to 5% of its GDP.
Nawrocki remains hopeful for ongoing cooperation, particularly regarding the significance of the UK-Poland relationship and Poland's evolving economy's role in future dialogues with Europe and the US.
