Bangladesh’s remittance inflow rose 13 % year‑on‑year to $11.465 billion during the July‑October period of the 2026‑27 fiscal year, the central bank data released by Xinhua on Nov. 4 in Dhaka showed.

The figure marks the highest quarterly inflow the country has recorded since the previous fiscal year, and it underscores the importance of foreign‑exchange earnings for Bangladesh. The bulk of the funds come from Middle Eastern employers, particularly the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Remittances also surged 12.1 % year‑on‑year to $2.874 billion in October alone.
