On November 4, 2026, Rafha Governorate in Saudi Arabia’s Northern Borders Region was struck by a heavy rainstorm accompanied by gusts of cold wind, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) for the local news feed. The same agency reported that at roughly the same time the region received moderate rain and hail showers.

According to the SPA, the heavy raindrops fell over the governorate, while the cold wind gusts were described by local authorities as a blessing and source of benefit for the surrounding area. The agency’s Arabic report noted that the community felt "جعلها الله سقيا خير وبركة، وعمّ بنفعها أرجاء البلاد".

The dual reports from SPA indicate a discrepancy in the intensity of the precipitation: one account emphasizes heavy rain with cold wind, the other notes moderate rain coupled with hail. The SPA still treats the intensity difference as unconfirmed, reporting each observation separately. Local officials, however, consistently referred to the event as a positive blessing for the region’s residents.
