On Sunday, November 8, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy announced that an administrative building belonging to Saudi Aramco in Riyadh had been targeted in an attempted attack, causing limited damage but no casualties.
The ministry said, in a statement posted on X, that falling shrapnel from the attack had damaged parts of the building, and that relevant authorities had responded swiftly and taken the necessary measures.
Earlier on Sunday, a Saudi‑led coalition had reported intercepting two cruise missiles over Riyadh and southern regions, as well as two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi group toward Riyadh. The interception was said to have occurred before the attack on the Aramco facility.
