Jazan Emirate is continuing the preliminary rounds of the first edition of the Prince Naif Qur’an memorization competition, a contest that calls for participants from the Ministry of Interior, regional emirates and security sectors.

The event, launched on 28 Jumada al‑awwal 1448 H (8 November 2026), takes place at the Jazan Emirate headquarters. Participants must achieve a score exceeding 85 % to advance, with two qualifiers selected from each branch.

The competition is overseen by a scientific panel and employs an electronic judging system that guarantees accurate and fair assessment of memorization, recitation and tajweed quality.

The contest, named in honor of the late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, offers a total prize of 3 million riyals distributed across five categories. It is organized by the Ministry of Interior under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the former Interior Minister.

By encouraging personnel from the ministry, emirates and security forces to memorize and recite the Qur’an, the competition aims to deepen their religious engagement and foster the values embodied in the holy text.
