HOUSTON (RTW News) — More than 100 homes were left damaged after a tornado touched down in the Memorial Northwest neighborhood outside of Houston, Texas, officials reported on Monday. Fortunately, emergency responders confirmed that no injuries occurred as a result of the storm. Dramatic photos and drone videos shared via social media showed roofs stripped of shingles and various debris obstructing roadways following the tornado's path. The Houston Fire Department quickly activated a saw team to clear fallen trees from affected areas. As recovery efforts began, the National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for southeastern Texas, including the Houston area, alongside a severe thunderstorm warning that remained in effect until the early morning hours of Tuesday.
