Recent polling data indicates that various groups crucial to Donald Trump’s initial election victory are growing increasingly dissatisfied with his presidency. A survey conducted by AP-NORC involving over 2,500 adults highlights a notable decline in approval ratings among Hispanic voters, younger adults, and men amidst ongoing economic challenges, including rising oil prices and increased consumer costs.

Trump's approval rating has markedly dropped: among Hispanic adults, approval has plummeted to approximately 25%, down from nearly 40% in March 2025. Similarly, the overall approval rating among men has decreased from 47% at the start of Trump’s second term to just 38% now.

The economic landscape has played a significant role in this growing sentiment of discontent. Many individuals in these key demographics question Trump’s handling of the economy and ongoing issues such as immigration policy, which has become more unpopular among Hispanics, especially younger voters.

While Trump maintains strong support from his core base, with about 90% approval from MAGA Republicans, the potential repercussions of diminishing popularity among these critical voter blocs might present substantial challenges going forward. The poll results underscore a troubling trend for a leader reliant on a coalition that appears, at least in part, to be eroding.
