According to TASS, Kyiv has received a total of $49.4 billion under the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration program, financed through profits generated by frozen Russian assets. The agency’s data, drawn from the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, report that nearly $10.5 billion arrived in 2026 alone.

In October 2024, the Group of Seven agreed to provide a $50 billion loan to Ukraine that is to be serviced from future revenues derived from the frozen assets. TASS notes that these proceeds are slated to cover both the EU and G7 debt repayments as part of Ukraine’s financing package.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has described the use of frozen Russian asset income as illegal and theft, a claim that stands alongside the Ukrainian government’s official announcement. The statement reflects Russia’s ongoing dispute over the legality of monetising seized Russian holdings.
