SINGAPORE—The country will lift its haze‑mitigation measures next Saturday as improved weather and a decline in regional haze activity reduce the danger of transboundary haze, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said on Thursday. The agency said mask distribution at community clubs, public transport hubs and other venues will end at 6 p.m. local time on Saturday. Air‑conditioned haze shelters at community clubs and selected residents’ centres will also close at the same time.

NEA added that the Ministry of Manpower will lift haze‑related precautions for outdoor workers from that date and that the Ministry of Health will deactivate the Public Health Preparedness Clinic Scheme and the Haze Subsidy Scheme on Nov. 12.

"Singapore will end its haze mitigation measures as improving weather conditions and a decline in regional haze activity lower the risk of transboundary haze," the NEA said in a statement.

As of 7 p.m. local time on Thursday, Singapore’s 24‑hour Pollutant Standards Index stood at 56–64, in the moderate range, while one‑hour PM2.5 readings were in the normal range. Showers and variable winds are expected to suppress haze over Singapore and the surrounding region through the weekend, the NEA added.

These actions follow a period of heightened haze, during which organised mask distribution and temporary shelters were deployed to protect residents. The NEA said the measures will be re‑instated if conditions deteriorate again.
