YANGON — Myanmar exported over 200,080 tonnes of fishery products, earning more than $343 million, during the first seven months of the 2026‑27 fiscal year, as the Department of Fisheries reported on Friday.
The department said the export volume declined from last year’s 234,107 tonnes in the same period, marking a reduction in the country's fishery trade output.
Myanmar shipped fishery products to about 40 countries and regions, with the bulk of the goods heading to China, Thailand, the Middle East and Europe.
The data was released by the Department of Fisheries in a press statement cited by Xinhua, the Chinese state news agency, on November 6, 2026.
