In brief

Sharjah Charity International has loaded 140‑tonnes of winter clothing and food onto a cargo aircraft destined for Gaza, as part of its ‘Warm Winter for Gaza’ campaign in cooperation with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and Hamoud Al Afari welcomed the shipment, noting it as part of the UAE’s broader humanitarian efforts in the region.

Sharjah Charity International (SCI) prepared and dispatched a 140‑tonne cargo load of winter clothing and food supplies to the Gaza Strip on 1 November 2026 from Sharjah Airport, as part of its “Warm Winter for Gaza” campaign under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

At the Cargo Village of Sharjah International Airport, SCI’s Chairman, Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, inspected the relief aid, which includes winter gear for children, women and men and a variety of food items meant to help Palestinian families endure the harsh winter weather.

Sheikh Saqr told WAM that the campaign “reflects His Highness’s directives to intensify humanitarian and relief efforts to meet the needs of residents and alleviate their suffering.” He added that the initiative continues the association’s commitment to aid, especially for children, women and the elderly, and that it was launched in 2023 in partnership with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.

Hamoud Al Afari, Director of UAE Relief Operations under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, confirmed that humanitarian aid shipments continue to be dispatched from Sharjah Airport in cooperation with SCI. He said the total volume of UAE assistance delivered to the Gaza Strip has exceeded 136,000 tonnes, accounting for roughly 46 percent of all international aid to the territory, valued at an estimated USD 4.3 billion.

The “Warm Winter for Gaza” campaign aims to reach one million beneficiaries by providing clothing and blankets to protect residents from the cold, further illustrating the UAE’s ongoing commitment to support the Palestinian people amid the conflict.

As the shipment departs, SCI and Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 will continue to coordinate additional aid deliveries to ensure that vulnerable populations in Gaza receive timely relief during the winter season.
