In brief

Saudi Aramco said its adjusted net income rose 9 % year‑on‑year to US$31.2 billion in Q3 2026, supported by operational excellence and a 234 % jump in downstream adjusted EBIT. Cash flow from operations and free cash flow also climbed, while the company secured a 49 % stake in AI firm HUMAIN and continued progress on key projects such as Zuluf and Jafurah. The company’s CEO highlighted geopolitical tensions but praised operational flexibility in maintaining supply stability.

Saudi Aramco announced on Tuesday that its adjusted net income for the third quarter of 2026 climbed 9 % from the previous year to US$31.2 billion, according to a statement from Xinhua based in Riyadh.

Xinhua reported that adjusted net income rose from US$28.6 billion in Q3 2025 to US$31.2 billion in Q3 2026. Cash flow from operating activities reached US$38.7 billion, up from US$36.1 billion a year earlier, while free cash flow climbed to US$28.2 billion from US$23.6 billion.

The company said downstream adjusted earnings before interest and taxes surged 234 % YoY, driven by stronger refining margins. On the upstream side, production had started at the Zuluf crude oil increment, and other major projects—including Jafurah phase two, the Fadhili Gas Plant expansion, and the Dammam development project—remained on track.

Aramco also noted that the East‑West Pipeline continued to provide export flexibility, and that the company was exploring additional overseas storage capacity and alternative export routes to strengthen its global supply network.

In a statement, Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser said geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on key energy facilities had intensified pressure on global energy supplies during the third quarter, but operational flexibility and a resilient supply network had enabled the company to continue meeting customer demand.

Aramco said it had acquired a 49‑percent stake in the AI firm HUMAIN, involving the transfer of assets and about US$2.6 billion in cash contributions, to expand its presence in the fast‑growing artificial intelligence sector.

Unconfirmed reports on the day from Zawya also noted an adjusted net income rise of 9 % YoY, but the Zawya link is currently inaccessible, leaving the details pending verification. StockAnalysis.com, while reporting a Q3 revenue figure of US$17.0 billion and a swing to a US$567 million operating loss, provides data unrelated to Aramco’s net income figures and has not confirmed the company's quarterly results.
