Jordanian anti‑narcotics police arrested 28 suspects across 15 drug cases on Sunday, seizing large amounts of narcotics—including cannabis, cocaine and various amphetamines—according to the Public Security Directorate spokesperson, as reported by Xinhua.

Police handled eight cases in the capital Amman, arresting 19 suspects and seizing 16,000 narcotic pills along with substantial quantities of cannabis and other drugs.

In another operation, authorities took three people to an apartment used to store drugs, seizing 6,000 pills and a quantity of hashish. Seven additional cases in Central Badia, Irbid, Maan and Zarqa led to nine arrests and the seizure of various quantities of narcotics.

In Zarqa, officers arrested a suspected trafficker preparing to smuggle 4,000 pills to a neighboring country. Separate investigations uncovered a suspect’s vehicle that contained an additional tank of 18 liters of liquid amphetamine.
