Several dozen people are presumed to have died and more than 100 injured following a fire in a ski resort in southern Switzerland, officials have said.
The incident occurred at 01:30 local time (00:30 GMT) in a bar called Le Constellation in the resort of Crans-Montana. Police confirmed that several nationalities were likely affected by the tragedy, while clarifying that it is being treated as a fire and there is 'no question' of an attack.

During a news conference, authorities indicated that several dozen individuals are presumed dead, with Italian officials estimating around 40 fatalities. Emergency response included ten helicopters, 40 ambulances, and over 150 emergency personnel.
Identification of the deceased may take weeks due to the extent of the injuries, as highlighted by the Italian ambassador to Switzerland.
Victims are believed to come from various countries, with reports confirming at least two French nationals among the injured. French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed solidarity with Switzerland during this crisis.
