US television presenter Savannah Guthrie and her family have appealed to the public to continue to help search for their missing mother, who police believe was abducted seven weeks ago. We desperately ask this community for renewed attention to our mom's case, the Guthrie family said in a new statement shared with NBC Tucson affiliate KVOA for a special report on the case. Authorities have been searching for Guthrie's 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie since she was reported missing from her Tucson, Arizona on 1 February.

Footage previously released from outside Nancy Guthrie's home revealed a masked figure, but nearly two months later, police still do not have a suspect. In their statement to KVOA released on Saturday, the Guthrie family thanked the community of Tucson for its support in the ongoing search for Nancy Guthrie and included a renewed request for information. We continue to believe it is Tucsonans, and the greater southern Arizona community, that hold the key to finding resolution in this case, the family said. Someone knows something.

The family urged people to consult camera footage, journal notes, text messages, observations, or conversations that may hold significance, stating that no detail is too small. We miss our mom with every breath and we cannot be in peace until she is home, they added. Savannah and her siblings have made multiple videos on social media seeking information and are offering a $1m reward for leads to her return, along with the $100,000 reward from the FBI. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos, leading the investigation with FBI assistance, indicated authorities believe the elderly woman was specifically targeted but have yet to confirm that theory. Police have requested surveillance footage from neighbors surrounding the night of Nancy's disappearance.
