NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A shooting at a country club left multiple gunshot victims, according to police in New Hampshire on Saturday night. Video surveillance confirmed that there is a single shooter who has already been detained by authorities. The scene remains an active investigation, but there is no current danger to the public.

The incident occurred at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, approximately 45 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of Boston, near the Massachusetts border. Information regarding the condition of the victims is not yet available.

An aerial view of the scene broadcast by WMUR-TV revealed numerous emergency responders arriving at the country club. The Nashua police have urged the public via the social platform X to avoid the area of Sky Meadow at this time.

U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander issued a statement expressing her concern, saying she is “closely monitoring the tragic reports of a shooting tonight at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua.” She conveyed her support for the victims, their families, and the surrounding community.

In a precautionary measure, Dunstable, Massachusetts, neighboring Nashua, has issued a shelter-in-place order for residents. Authorities continue to gather information as the investigation unfolds.
