Emergency power outages were announced in Kiev after damage to the city’s power grid, according to the DTEK energy company, amid repeated air‑raid alerts and reported explosions in the capital.
In a statement on its Telegram channel, DTEK declared, "Emergency power outages have been implemented," as the air‑raid alerts in the Kiev region were issued repeatedly that day.
The TASS news agency published this information on 17 July, noting the outages were driven by grid damage and that explosions had been reported in the city.
Another account from the same source indicates that the DTEK statement was posted on Telegram on 1 November, suggesting a later date for the announcement.
Both sources confirm that the outages are due to damage to the power infrastructure and that the situation is linked with ongoing air‑raid alerts. The disagreement lies only in the date of the DTEK statement, with one source citing 17 July for the article and the other noting 1 November for the company’s Telegram post.
