On November 2, the Bank of Russia announced it would set the official dollar‑ruble exchange rate for November 3 at 80.9734 rubles, up 41.61 kopecks from the prior figure, TASS reported.

That move followed a modest upward shift in the euro and yuan rates, with the official euro rate raised by 80.32 kopecks to 90.4635 rubles and the yuan rate increased by 8.41 kopecks to 12.1714 rubles, the financial news agency added.

"The Bank of Russia has increased the official dollar exchange rate to 80.9734 rubles for November 3," TASS said, noting the change came as part of the central bank’s routine adjustment of currency benchmarks.

The rate revision means the ruble will be worth slightly more against the dollar on the target date, and the higher euro and yuan levels will similarly adjust the ruble’s relative strength.

Business and market commentators are watching the move for indications of future policy direction, although the bank’s statement did not predict further changes in the near term.

As the market eyes the November 3 settlement, the Bank’s decision underscores its ongoing efforts to manage currency volatility while maintaining macroeconomic stability.
