In brief

Government forces and Houthi rebels clashed on multiple fronts Thursday, with airstrikes reported in Ibb, Taiz, and Lahj, killing civilians and soldiers. Houthi‑affiliated media also report separate airstrikes against a central security forces camp and a health centre. The ongoing "Dawn of Yemen" operation continues to target Houthi positions.

According to Anadolu Agency, airstrikes and clashes erupted Thursday in Yemen, with government forces striking Houthi positions in Ibb, Taiz, and Lahj, killing civilians and fighters.

In Ibb province, an airstrike destroyed a Houthi missile launcher on Mount Ba'dan, Al‑Jumhuriya TV noted, marking the second strike on the mountain in less than 24 hours.

In Taiz province, airstrikes hit Houthi positions on the outskirts of the villages of al‑Sarari and Dhi al‑Barah southeast of Mount Saber, while an eight‑civillian death toll—including children—rose from a Houthi missile strike on the al‑Athawir area of Hayfan district.

In the Lahj front, Aden TV reported intense clashes in Maqaterah, al‑Sawalah and al‑Zariq. Airstrikes targeted Houthi reinforcements in Naqil al‑Saha, and a vehicle carrying a 23 mm anti‑aircraft gun was destroyed by forces of the Fourth Military Region. Dozens of wounded Houthi fighters were brought to Khalifa Hospital in Turbah.

Yemeni officials said that, since the start of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation, they had conducted 322 missions, killing 64 Houthi fighters and disabling 16 military vehicles.

Separately, Houthi‑affiliated media reported four airstrikes on a Central Security Forces camp in the city of al‑Bayda and a strike on a health centre in the al‑Silw district, although these claims remain unverified.

The fighting, which resumed in July, has displaced more than 250,000 people, according to United Nations reports, and continues to deepen Yemen’s humanitarian crisis as the Saudi‑led coalition maintains its support for the internationally‑recognised government.
