A U.S.-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft, the Bombardier Artemis II, was seen over the Black Sea for the second time this week, according to a source within air‑traffic control services, TASS reported on Thursday.
Confirmed Details
The aircraft flew a west‑to‑east route across the southern Black Sea’s international waters, maintaining an altitude of about 9,000 meters and staying outside civil aviation corridors. It entered only Romanian airspace at launch, with the piloted flight originating from Constanta. The same aircraft was earlier spotted near the Kaliningrad Region, circling over Lithuania, Poland and the Baltic Sea.
Unconfirmed Aspects
While the TASS source confirms the second sighting and flight parameters, independent verification from other nations’ aerospace monitoring or satellite imagery has not yet been published, leaving certain operational details and potential tactical implications unconfirmed.
