Two Palestinians were injured when rain caused a wall in a building damaged by Israeli shelling to collapse in northern Gaza on Saturday, 7 November 2026, a medical source told Anadolu Agency. The collapse occurred in a building that had sustained prior damage from the ongoing conflict. Eyewitnesses reported heavy rain that also flooded thousands of displacement tents near Gaza City’s port, west of Deir al-Balah, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and in the cities of Jabalia and Beit Lahia, aggravating the hardship of displaced residents.

The medical source confirmed that the two wounded occupants were taken to a nearby medical facility amid the storm. Anadolu Agency characterized the rain as part of a low‑pressure system with a cold air mass that brought heavy rainfall across the Gaza Strip. The agency added that the flooding of tents compounded the lack of shelter for thousands of people who were already living in worn‑out shelters without heating or adequate protection from rain and cold, given the widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure caused by the Turkish‑named war.

In a statement, Anadolu cited figures showing that since October 2023, the conflict had killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, in addition to extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. These numbers, while reported by the agency, remain unverified by independent sources.
