In a statement released on Nov. 5, 2026, Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Houthi militia’s attempt to launch a ballistic missile at the Saudi city of Madinah.

The statement called the alleged launch a “flagrant violation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty” and a “blatant breach of international law and international humanitarian law,” and claimed it provoked Muslims’ sentiments worldwide.

The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and protect its citizens and residents.

It further stressed that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and that of Gulf Cooperation Council member states.

"The State of Kuwait strongly condemned and denounced the Houthi militia's attempt to target Madinah Region with a ballistic missile," the statement read.

Speakers cited the statement as evidence of Kuwait’s stance but did not confirm whether a missile was actually launched or intercepted.
