In a statement on Sunday, France’s Foreign Minister Jean‑Noel Barrot announced that Europe will be represented at the U.S.-led Ukraine talks slated for Nov. 10‑11 in Abu Dhabi. The talks aim to end the Russia‑Ukraine conflict, with Russian and Ukrainian delegations already slated to attend.

Jean‑Noel Barrot, French Foreign Minister, said:

"The Europeans will be represented, and France will be in Abu Dhabi to participate in these talks,"

Barrot added that France will make the voice of Europe heard, but did not specify who will represent the country. He recalled that there have been discussions at times without the Europeans, and asserted that Europe will not allow anyone to speak on its behalf.

In contrast, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced that European countries have no place at the negotiating table on Ukraine. Her statement was issued on Saturday.
