A small unmanned aerial vehicle launched by the Houthi militia toward Yemen’s southern region was intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi‑led coalition, confirmed at 19:05 local time (16:05 GMT) on November 1, 2026.
Major General Turki al‑Malki, the coalition’s spokesperson for the Restoration of Legitimacy in Yemen, announced that the UAV was intercepted and destroyed, marking another operational success in the ongoing campaign against Houthi attacks.
The interception took place over the southern region, demonstrating the coalition’s capacity to detect and neutralise missile launch attempts originating from Houthi positions.
Such actions, according to coalition officials, are part of a broader strategy to thwart Houthi advances and protect the southern front of Yemen.
