In brief

Al‑Masirah TV, run by Houthi rebels, reported that Saudi airstrikes struck a market in Al‑Hazm and a fuel station in Al‑Tayseer on Wednesday, killing 14 and wounding 10. The numbers are preliminary and have not been confirmed by Saudi authorities. No immediate comment from the Saudi coalition was received.

Houthi‑run Al‑Masirah TV said that Saudi airstrikes on a market in Al‑Hazm and a fuel station in Al‑Tayseer in Yemen’s northern Al‑Jawf province killed 14 people and wounded 10 on Wednesday, October 28.

The channel reported that several airstrikes struck the provincial capital’s public market, while a separate strike hit the nearby fuel station, raising the casualty toll from an earlier figure of 12.

Women and children were among those killed or injured, Al‑Masirah added.

The figures are preliminary and have not been confirmed by Saudi authorities, and no independent verification of the attack or the toll has been obtained.

These reports come amid continued cross‑border attacks between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, as well as heavy fighting between the group and Saudi‑backed Yemeni government forces.

No immediate comment was provided by the Saudi coalition regarding the Houthi media claim.

Yemen has been in conflict since late 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and much of northern Yemen, prompting the Saudi‑led coalition to intervene in 2015 in support of the Yemeni government.
