YouTube star Yung Filly, real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is confronted with new reckless driving charges while awaiting trial for serious sexual offenses.
On November 17, Barrientos was caught speeding at 158km/h (98mph) in a 100km/h zone on a Perth highway. This incident reportedly occurred while he was on bail for separate rape accusations relating to an alleged assault on a woman in her 20s at a hotel in Perth last September. The police have impounded his vehicle following the speeding incident.
Scheduled to appear in court on November 19, Barrientos will face charges that include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of strangulation. These accusations stem from an incident where he allegedly took the woman back to his hotel room after a performance at the nightclub Bar1.
Yung Filly, known for his engagement with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and appearances on UK television programs such as Soccer Aid and Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, has also received recognition, including a Mobo Award for best media personality in 2021.
