On Wednesday, Sydney police reported that three men were arrested following a high‑profile methamphetamine bust in Glendenning, 36 km northwest of central Sydney. The arrests came after detectives from an organized crime strike force executed a search warrant at the property on October 15, seizing 45.4 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 5.6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 48 rounds of ammunition.

At the time of the raid, a 38‑year‑old man was apprehended and charged with supplying a prohibited drug in greater than large commercial quantities, an offence that carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, and with possessing ammunition without a licence. Two other men, both aged 46, were arrested on Tuesday during subsequent search warrants. One of them was charged with supplying a prohibited drug in greater than large commercial quantities, while the other faced charges of supplying a prohibited drug in greater than indictable but less than commercial quantities and of supplying an unregistered pistol.

Police confirmed that the seized methamphetamine had a combined estimated street value of 15.4 million Australian dollars (approximately 10.8 million U.S. dollars). They also located an inactive clandestine laboratory during the searches.

All three suspects were denied bail. The charges reflect the severity of the offence, with the primary accused facing the possibility of life imprisonment.
