In a Friday operation in Hebron, Israeli forces demolished the homes of two Palestinians—Hamoudeh al‑Jaabari and Ahmed al‑Jaabari—who were accused of killing two Israeli soldiers in a shooting on Oct. 23. The demolitions took place in the southern West Bank city, marking the eighth day of a campaign that has already displaced hundreds of families.

According to Xinhua, the Israeli military blew up the houses after two soldiers were killed in a shooting attack in the Farsh al‑Hawa area. Palestinian security sources reported that engineering units were deployed to the Deir Baha neighborhood in western Hebron, where they raided the al‑Jaabari home and carried out demolition work that forced families to leave the area.

The Israeli military confirmed the demolitions in a statement, saying it would "continue to operate proactively and offensively" to thwart attacks in the West Bank and protect residents in the area. The Hebron Governorate Emergency Committee reported that 537 families, comprising 3,361 people, had been displaced from the al‑Jilda and Deir Baha neighborhoods since the operation began, forcing many others to relocate.

The operation, launched hours after the Oct. 23 shooting that killed two Israeli soldiers, has been described by Israeli officials as a proactive response to the attack, with an emphasis on displacing residents and demolishing homes associated with alleged militants. It represents the eighth day of continuous activity in the southern West Bank.

Al‑Quds reports that occupation forces are preparing to demolish the homes of martyrs in Hebron, echoing the broader pattern of house removals in the region and raising concerns among local residents about repeated displacement.
