A tourist coach overturned between the villages of Susch and Zernez in the Graubünden region of the Swiss Alps, killing at least several people and injuring others. Rescue teams, including helicopters, were dispatched to the scene as emergency services worked under difficult mountainous conditions.

About 48 Dutch passengers were on board the coach, according to the General Dutch Association of Travel Companies on behalf of tour operator OAD. The coach had departed from the Netherlands on Monday for a day‑trip in Switzerland from Austria; the exact number of fatalities and injuries remains uncertain.

Zernez serves as an entry point to the Swiss National Park, a massive Alpine reserve spanning more than 100 square kilometres (40 square miles). Images from Swiss news sites show the wrecked coach lying on its side beside a narrow country road with ambulances stacked on each side of the scene.
