Pakistan Avalanche: Seven Climbers Missing after Tragic Incident on Broad Peak

Avalanche on Broad Peak

An avalanche that swept through Pakistan's Broad Peak on Thursday left seven of ten high‑altitude climbers missing.

Rescue teams recovered the bodies of Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy from Oman, Pur Bahadur Gurun from Nepal, and Mallory Geis from the United States, authorities confirmed.

The surviving members of the expedition are still being searched for as the Pakistani rescue operation is underway on Saturday, according to BBC reporter Caroline Davies.

The incident highlights the risks faced by mountaineers in the Karakoram range, where unpredictable avalanches can strike with little warning.
