In brief

Braden Peters, better known online as Clavicular, faced a rape charge after allegedly assaulting a 17‑year‑old girl at his family home in Massachusetts. Peters denied the accusations, claiming the encounter was consensual. The 20‑year‑old was granted bail, ordered not to contact or post about the accuser, and to surrender his passport. The influencer, who boasts over a million followers and is infamous for extreme looksmaxxing rituals, has a history of controversial legal incidents. His next court hearing is set for 24 November, where the judge will decide whether the case proceeds.

Braden Peters, who goes by the TikTok and Instagram moniker “Clavicular,” has pleaded not guilty to a felony rape charge in Massachusetts, a move he says reflects a consensual encounter with a 17‑year‑old woman.

On Friday, Peters was released on a $10,000 bail bond that barred him from contacting the alleged victim or referring to her on social media, and required him to surrender his passport.

The charges stem from an incident on 23 May 2025, when the influencer allegedly drugged his future accuser and forced a sexual act inside his family’s home in Chatham, a suburb of Boston, according to a police report.

A video posted on Peters’ livestream on the night of the alleged assault shows the girl drinking an alcoholic beverage under the influence, a factor the officer who file the police report considered evidence she could not consent.

Clavicular has built a following of more than a million people on TikTok and Instagram by promoting the “looksmaxxing” trend, offering tips that involve extreme measures such as facial surgery, the use of steroids and injections, and even dangerous stunts. In January 2026, he was charged in Florida for allegedly shooting an alligator during a live‑streamed stunt and was later fined for unlawful conduct in public.

He has also faced other alleged misconduct, including a victimless altercation with two women in March, though authorities later announced that no charges would be filed.

Today’s court session largely focused on establishing the conditions of his bail. Peters posted a photo from his courtroom appearance at 9:38 am, wearing a black suit, tie, and holding his guard dog. The next hearing is scheduled for 24 November, when the judge will determine whether enough evidence exists to move forward with the rape case.

"Clavicular," whose real name is Braden Peters, is known for pushing the limits of body aesthetics and has captivated a large online audience—yet the upcoming court decision may have lasting implications for his career and public image.
