The footage, reportedly produced by the BBC, depicts Omar al-Bayoumi – a key figure in the lawsuit brought by families of the 9/11 victims – at a paint-balling session with a figure later identified as an al-Qaeda operative. The video also shows Bayoumi interacting with high-level Saudi officials.

This new evidence contradicts Bayoumi’s 25‑year‑old public denial that he was a Saudi spy or extremist. Bayoumi and the Saudi government have yet to respond to requests for comment. The lawsuit alleges that Saudi Arabia was complicit in the 9/11 attacks and that Bayoumi helped two of the hijackers.

The FBI declined to comment on whether any evidence related to Bayoumi’s alleged ties was suppressed or “buried.” The absence of a response fuels speculation about the extent of agency involvement.
