Four days after a sudden wall of ice, rock and mud collapsed into a Himalayan valley, rescuers continue to locate survivors.

Chandika Shrestha, a 64‑year‑old resident of the Nuwakot district, was found alive on the fourth floor of her partially buried dwelling by Nepal’s Armed Police Force on 5 September, Reuters reports.

She was air‑lifted to a hospital in Kathmandu for treatment. The incident underscores the continuing danger posed by the sudden landslides that swept through the valley earlier this month.
