On Nov. 4, Pakistani police destroyed a suspicious vehicle in Lakki Marwat district, killing two accused terrorists—one a suicide bomber—and injuring a third who fled. Weapons and a Tehreek‑e‑Taliban Pakistan flag were seized. Authorities say the raid split a planned major attack, while the status of the fleeing suspect remains under investigation.

Police in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province launched a raid on a suspicious vehicle in Lakki Marwat district on Nov. 4, killing two suspected terrorists and injuring a third who fled.

The operation was initiated after officers received reports of a car with tinted windows parked in the region. Upon arrival, the occupants opened fire on police, prompting a retaliatory response that killed both occupants.

Investigators recovered firearms, ammunition, a flag of the proscribed Tehreek‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and other suspicious items from the vehicle.

Police and the Counter Terrorism Department stated that the raid stopped a potential major terrorist attack. This assessment was based on the weapons cache and the nature of the vehicle.

The operation remains under investigation. A third suspect was injured during the clash and has escaped. Police are conducting a search operation to track down the fleeing individual and identify the deceased were trained members of the TTP.

Officials have not disclosed the identities or precise affiliations of the killed terrorists, but confirmed that one of the deceased was a suicide bomber based on the nature of the attack.

The raid illustrates the ongoing security efforts in the Lakki Marwat area as authorities try to prevent further terrorist activities.
