Bob Brown, a 57‑year‑old resident of Saltash, Cornwall, completed a coast‑to‑coast journey across Australia in just 31 days, covering approximately 2,800 miles from Perth to Sydney.

His goal was two‑fold: to become the fastest person to cross Australia on a non‑electric kick‑scooter, and to be the first to travel the route using all three modes of adventure – running, cycling and scootering.

Brown also aimed to raise £5,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support, St Luke’s Hospice and Children’s Hospice South West. He previously set records in 2001 by running the entire country in 60 days, and in 2003 by cycling it, making him the first Briton to have completed the route in both ways.

Throughout the trip he faced several setbacks, including a clipped wing‑mirror that sent him skidding onto a hard shoulder and a broken handlebar that caused a serious fall just 20 kilometres from the finish line. Despite these obstacles, he finished the challenge in 31 days, four hours and 10 minutes.

Brown has submitted his documentation to Guinness World Records, and he is now awaiting official recognition of his achievements.
