US Attorney General Drops Charges Against Doctor Over COVID Vaccine Fraud

The U.S. Attorney General has ordered the dismissal of allegations against a doctor accused of serious COVID-19 vaccine offenses, citing a need for justice.

In a surprising turn of events, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that all charges against Dr. Michael Kirk Moore Jr. have been dropped. The plastic surgeon faced serious accusations, including the destruction of approximately $28,000 worth of COVID-19 vaccines, the distribution of fake vaccination cards, and knowingly administering saline shots to children instead of the actual vaccine.

Dr. Moore had pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S. He was previously indicted under the Biden administration in 2023 and was on trial in Utah. Bondi remarked that Moore offered patients choices during a time when the government was reluctant to do so, positioning him in a controversial light.

The acting U.S. Attorney for Utah, Felice John Viti, filed to have the charges dismissed on the grounds of "the interests of justice." Previously, Dr. Moore was accused of falsifying vaccination certificates for over 1,900 doses, charging $50 for his services, and accepting cash or charitable donations for the fraudulent paperwork.

The Attorney General's decision drew support from notable Republican figures such as U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and Senator Mike Lee, who emphasized the importance of addressing what they termed the "weaponization of government" during the pandemic. Lee praised Bondi for standing up for Americans tired of government misinformation.

Dr. Moore initially faced a potential prison sentence of up to 35 years across multiple charges. His legal troubles have sparked debates about vaccine mandates and public health policies, an ongoing topic of interest in the U.S. political landscape, particularly in the context of current Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been known for his vaccine-safety advocacy.
