Meghan Markle Launches Online Shop for Fashion Enthusiasts

Duchess of Sussex introduces a curated collection of her favorite clothing and accessories through an online platform for fans to explore.

Meghan Markle's new online shop features a blend of high-end and affordable fashion options, all linked to her personal favorites, giving fans a chance to emulate the Duchess's chic style.

With much anticipation from fans, Meghan Markle has unveiled her new online shop, where shoppers can explore a curated collection of her favorite fashion items, encompassing clothing, accessories, and jewelry. The Duchess shared the link with her 2.6 million Instagram followers on Monday, highlighting her "high-low" fashion philosophy that combines designer pieces with accessible options, a concept she showcased in her recent Netflix series.

The ShopMy platform is designed for "elite creators," allowing Meghan to earn a commission from certain sales made through the affiliate links she posted. Reportedly, commissions can reach as high as 30%. In launching her online shop, Meghan described the assortment as a "handpicked and curated collection of the things I love," addressing the requests she's received from admirers seeking to emulate her style.

Historically, items worn by the Duchess have garnered immense popularity and instant sell-outs. For instance, a white coat by Canadian brand Line the Label, worn when announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, reportedly crashed the brand's website due to overwhelming demand. Similarly, a £500 ($675) midi tote bag by Strathberry sold out within 11 minutes on multiple international websites after Meghan was seen carrying it.

The newly launched collection features 32 versatile pieces in neutral tones, such as white, beige, light blue, and black, utilizing natural materials like linen and cashmere. Highlights include a "perfect" white cotton t-shirt, a casual striped blue "boyfriend" shirt, and elegant options like a black wool blazer and an ivory evening dress.

Shoppers can find a mix of upscale brands, including Theory, Reformation, and Madewell, alongside budget-friendly options like a £99 Uniqlo trench coat and a pair of brown leather sandals by Saint Laurent priced at £595. ShopMy's commission rates vary between 10% and 30%, depending on the involved retailer. The platform also connects creators with over 47,000 brands for paid collaborations, enhancing influencer engagement.

This latest venture follows the recent launch of her glossy Netflix lifestyle show, which showcases her daily life, from social gatherings to gardening. Last year, Meghan initiated her lifestyle brand, originally known as American Riviera Orchard, now rebranded as As Ever, focusing on crafted essentials such as preserves and teas.

Previously, Meghan operated her own lifestyle blog, The Tig, for nearly three years, where she shared insights into beauty, fashion, travel, and wellness before it concluded in April 2017, just ahead of her royal engagement. Meghan's keen eye for fashion and lifestyle continues to capture the industry's attention, affirming her status as a beloved figure in the world of style.
