In a powerful display of unity, four leaders — Prime Minister Gaston Browne in a red jacket, Attorney General Steadroy Benjamin of Antigua & Barbuda, Captain Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso, and former President Uhuru Kenyatta — stood together, raising their fists to the sky as jets soared overhead, symbolizing defiance, solidarity, and the unstoppable march toward justice.

Next to them, Donald Trump applauded in recognition, underscoring the global acknowledgment of Africa and the Caribbean’s joint demand for reparations, restitution, and respect. This image captures strength and a solemn conviction that history must be answered with justice.

AFRICA AND THE CARIBBEAN IS ONE: Restitution is not a choice — it is destiny. The scars of the transatlantic slave trade remain today, and Browne emphasizes that the legacy of exploitation still burdens both regions.

During his address, Browne emphasized, The Caribbean is Africa, Africa is the Caribbean. Until restitution is made, until justice is done, our mission is incomplete. Reparations justice must come. He promotes a vision where CARICOM extends beyond the Caribbean, uniting political power and economic resources with Africa to rebuild and reclaim their strength.

Browne, aka Gassy Dread, positions himself as a resolute voice in the reparations movement, insisting that justice is essential for real peace. With a spirit of resilience, he stated, We will not forget. Africa and the Caribbean are one, and together we demand restitution.
