**Fake Nurse Arrested in Florida, Treats Over 4,000 Patients**

**Autumn Bardisa, who worked at a Florida hospital from 2023 to 2025, faces multiple charges for practicing without a license.**

A woman in Florida was arrested following an extensive investigation into her impersonation as a registered nurse, during which she reportedly provided medical services to over 4,000 patients. The case comes to light after the termination of Autumn Bardisa's contract by hospital officials who raised red flags regarding her credentials.

Bardisa, 29, was employed at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway from July 2023 until January 2025, where she allegedly utilized false documentation, including a license number that belonged to another nurse with a similar name. She attempted to explain the apparent inconsistencies by claiming she had recently married and changed her last name, but she failed to provide adequate evidence when asked for her marriage license.

The alarm was raised in January when Bardisa was offered a promotion, and a coworker reported her after discovering that her nursing assistant license had expired. This led to the initiation of a seven-month criminal investigation. The Flagler County Sheriff's Office subsequently issued an arrest warrant for Bardisa on several charges, including seven counts of practicing healthcare without a valid license and fraudulent use of personal identification.

Bardisa was apprehended while wearing scrubs at her home on August 5. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly characterized the case as one of the most alarming instances of healthcare fraud he has encountered, highlighting the potential risks posed to numerous patients.

Currently, Bardisa is being held at Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility with a bond set at $70,000. The Sheriff's Office has established a dedicated email address—fakenursecase@flaglersheriff.com—for anyone who may believe they received care from Bardisa to report their concerns.
