Pavel Durov Pledges Fortune to Over 100 Children He Fathered

In a recent interview, Pavel Durov, the creator of the popular messaging platform Telegram, unveiled his intentions regarding his immense wealth. With an estimated fortune of $13.9 billion, Durov stated that over 100 children he has fathered will inherit his wealth. While he is officially the father of six kids from three different partners, the bulk of his progeny results from sperm donations to fertility clinics. In his discussion with French magazine Le Point, Durov emphasized the importance of fairness, ensuring all children will have equal rights to inherit without rivalry over his estate.

To encourage self-reliance, Durov has decided that his children will not receive access to their inheritance until they turn 30 years old, stating, "I want them to live like normal people." He also discussed the risks associated with his role in technology, which often involves defending freedoms and earning enemies, leading him to finalize a will now. Furthermore, Durov denied allegations connected to serious criminal charges in France, claiming they are unfounded. Despite facing legal challenges linked to moderation issues on Telegram, Durov maintains that the platform cannot be considered culpable for the actions of its users.
