Rescue teams have successfully located the wreckage of an Angara airlines An-24 aircraft that went missing while en route to Tynda airport in Russia’s Amur region. The plane, which was carrying 43 passengers and six crew members, disappeared from radar approximately 10 miles from its destination after taking off from Blagoveshchensk, close to the Chinese border. Amur’s regional governor, Vasily Orlov, confirmed that ten children were among those onboard as emergency services had been mobilized to find the missing aircraft.

According to Russia's emergencies ministry, a civil aviation helicopter spotted burning wreckage of the plane on a hillside. Reports indicate that the incident has drawn attention from various emergency services, who are now heading to the crash site to assess the situation. The An-24 was operating the last segment of a route from Khabarovsk, located in the far southeast of Russia, when it encountered difficulties. Further updates are expected as rescue efforts continue and more information is gathered about the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
