A man attempted to ignite a fire at a historic synagogue in East Melbourne, Australia, on Friday, as reported by local officials. Fortunately, none of the approximately 20 individuals inside the building were harmed. The incident, part of a troubling trend of anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim actions since the commencement of the Israel-Hamas conflict, has raised significant concern among communities. Firefighters promptly extinguished a small fire that had caused damage to the synagogue’s front door, according to the Victoria fire department.
