Yung Filly claims "good vibes" at rape trial, denies allegations

The UK rapper (real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos) told a judge on Monday that the "vibes were good" between him and a woman accused of being sexually assaulted in a hotel room in Perth, Australia. The allegation, made when the victim was 20, carries six charges of sexual penetration without consent and a further three charges of assault occasioning bodily harm plus one charge of strangulation.

Barrientos admitted with the court that he had "fancied" the woman during a nightclub show in Hillarys and that he was in the VIP area whilst they met. He claimed he only placed his hand on her waist and did not extend any contact below the waist or touch her breasts. He says that they were enjoying “good vibes” when they moved to his hotel room.

The accusation states that the couple initially engaged in consensual sex, but the woman told him to stop when the assault began. Barrientos, who has been touring Australia, has been on bail since the charges were filed and was allowed to return to the UK for four months before he flew back to Western Australia for the trial.

The rapper, known for his work with the YouTube group Beta Squad and his appearances on the Channel 4 celebrity Bake Off, has a substantial following – 1.8 million YouTube subscribers, 3 million TikTok followers, and 2.4 million Instagram followers.
