The football operations area on campus was the site of the stabbings, leading to immediate intervention by authorities. Both injured players were reported to be in stable condition, while their teammate who allegedly committed the act is now in police custody. In light of the event, the football team made the decision to go ahead with their game at Protective Stadium, where a special Senior Day ceremony was held to honor 29 players. The university emphasized that the safety and well-being of its students remain a top priority.
