A collision between a freight train and a public bus has killed at least eight people and injured 25 others in Bangkok, emergency services have confirmed.
Police and rescue officials reported that the impact of the collision triggered a fire that engulfed the public bus on Saturday.
The flames quickly spread to nearby vehicles, prompting emergency responders to dispatch firefighters and rescue crews to the scene. Teams worked diligently to extract injured victims from the wreckage while fire crews contained the blaze.
As of now, the fire has been brought under control, with crews focusing on cooling the area, venting gas, and continuing search efforts for any remaining victims. Investigators are currently looking into the cause of this tragic accident.
