Russian Airstrikes Kill at Least Two in Kyiv

Russian forces resumed overnight drone attacks on Ukraine’s capital on Tuesday, killing at least two civilians and leaving 10 injured.

The deadly strikes followed a temporary pause in air raids agreed by Kyiv and Moscow while U.S. and Ukrainian officials met in Moscow and Kyiv, respectively.

Citizens of Kyiv sought shelter in metro stations during the barrage, a common safety measure in the ongoing conflict. The attack hit residential buildings, including a five‑storey apartment block in the Solomianskyi district, and set vehicles on fire in the Podilskyi district.

In Russia, a Ukrainian drone strike struck buildings in the city of Saratov, regional governor Roman Busargin announced on Telegram early Tuesday.

The U.S. talks, which ended Sunday, produced no major breakthroughs. President Volodymyr Zelensky said officials from Ukraine, Europe, and America would meet again soon, calling for a trilateral meeting involving Russia and the U.S.
