His family indicated that he found joy in artistic pursuits later in life. Brendon received three Emmy nominations for his role in Buffy, demonstrating his impact in the industry. Notably, he had openly shared his struggles with health issues, including a heart attack and spinal surgeries, and he was also an advocate for mental health and stuttering awareness.
