TUCSON, Ariz. — Investigators are calling on the public to share home surveillance camera footage as part of the ongoing investigation into the mysterious disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC's Savannah Guthrie. Nancy Guthrie has been missing since February 1, and authorities are wading through thousands of tips in hopes of solving the case.

Recent police activity has included the release of surveillance images showing a masked person on Guthrie's porch the night she went missing, which had raised hope for a breakthrough. However, a man detained for questioning was released after police found no evidence linking him to the case.

On Wednesday, FBI agents searched through the area surrounding Guthrie’s Tucson home and nearby neighborhoods, with investigators specifically requesting footage from January 31 and February 1, as well as any suspicious activity caught on home cameras since then. Neighbor Ann Adams reported seeing law enforcement reach out for potential leads and expressed concern about Guthrie's welfare, noting her mother's need for medication.

Authorities confirmed that Nancy Guthrie was believed to have been taken against her will. DNA samples taken from a bloodstain found on her porch corresponded to hers, and law enforcement reiterated their concern for her safety.

Reports suggest that individuals with Ring doorbell cameras in the area received alerts requesting footage from significant dates prior to her disappearance, including an unusual set of images of a masked individual tampering with Guthrie's front door camera the morning she vanished. Meanwhile, investigations expanded in the area as detectives searched Guthrie’s daughter’s home, collecting evidence in hopes of shedding light on her disappearance.

Family members, including Savannah Guthrie, remain hopeful and are willing to cooperate with authorities, even considering ransom options as they navigate this crisis. Public interest in the case continues to grow, underscored by over 4,000 calls to the tip line in just a day seeking information to help locate Nancy Guthrie.
