Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that he is in excellent physical condition after disclosing in a recent post that he had a malignant tumor removed following his annual medical report. On Friday, Netanyahu revealed on X that during routine medical monitoring after a successful surgery for an enlarged benign prostate, doctors discovered an early-stage malignant tumor. He assured that treatment had removed the problem and left no trace of it.
Netanyahu requested a delay in the publication of his health record to avoid any potential propaganda from enemies during conflicts, specifically referencing the ongoing tensions with Iran. Now 76 years old, Netanyahu underwent surgery for an enlarged benign prostate in 2024 and has been under continuous medical surveillance, which found a tiny spot of less than a centimetre during the most recent check-up.
He expressed relief stating, I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it's behind me. Additionally, Netanyahu affirmed his intention to act quickly on medical information, which he believes is crucial both personally and professionally. This announcement comes at a pivotal moment as he prepares for an upcoming visit to the White House for discussions aimed at establishing a lasting peace in the ongoing conflicts, particularly regarding Iran. Meanwhile, Israel's ceasefire agreement with Lebanon has also been extended by three weeks following hostilities with Hezbollah.
