A rapidly spreading wildfire has injured more than 100 individuals near Marseille, compelling authorities to issue evacuation orders and halt transportation services.

Firefighters have engaged in a fierce battle with a wildfire that sparked on the outskirts of Marseille, injuring at least 110 and forcing the evacuation of hundreds from their homes. The fire ignited following a car fire in the Les Pennes-Mirabeau area, approximately eight miles north of the city, and was exacerbated by strong winds, leading to the fire spreading over 1,700 acres by late Tuesday.
